"Saint Père" is an historic Sancerre house built in 1460. This 2 story stone and oak timber house is located across the street from Coeur de France. The previous owners were a carpenter and his wife and they had lived in Saint Père for over 40 years. Being an artisan carpenter, he lovingly maintained their home for those years.

Coeur de France recently acquired this large tile-roofed home and have renovated it to the standard our students expect: modern conveniences yet with authentic French country elegance.

Downstairs: antique terra cotta floor tiles, large built-kitchen, wc, bathroom with tub/shower, dining area, large living room with tv, dvd, free wifi, functioning fireplace. Plaster walls are painted warm peach and apricot tones and original oak woodwork and antique hardware is everywhere (windows, doors, stairs, etc.).

Upstairs: 4 bedrooms, 3 with oak parquet flooring. Colors are light pastel yellow. One bedroom has an ornate 15th century carved stone niche and exposed half-timber wall. With 4 bedrooms, Saint Père can sleep 9 people, and like all of our accommodation it is private and unshared. Because it is located across the street from school, a rental car isn't necessary to get to school, but if you will have one there is free on-street parking.

St. Père is available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedroom apartment configuration. NOTE: Like all of our accommodation, St. Père is private and unshared. For example, if you rent it in 1 bedroom apartment configuration, for your privacy the other bedrooms remain vacant and locked.

Weekly rates

  • 1 bedroom: 750 euros
  • 2 bedroom: 850 euros
  • 3 bedroom: 925 euros
  • 4 bedroom: 1000 euros

Note: These accommodations are strictly nonsmoking.
